The honours were shared between three of the parishes taking part in this year’s Inter Parish Championship.

The competition in its second year featured all twelve parishes, though two of them, St Mary and St Helier, could only manage to field representatives in one section each.

St Saviour was the only parish to reach two of the three finals but they had to make do with just the triples trophy after their team, Alex Stewart, Graham Walker and Mike Blake beat St Ouen (Graeme Follain, Jeff Thomas and Gerald Rollands) 13-2.

They also had a finalist in the singles but Rob Birch lost out 13-6 to Brian Harris of St Martin. Brian had reached the final the hard way having qualified in two previous rounds by 13-12 scorelines.

In the doubles there was a victory for St Lawrence against St Brelade, Tony Morton and Marion Simkin beating Mike Ritzema and Judy Dove 13-3 in the final.
